Before & After: Look at The Legs On This One
I had promised not to remodel anything else, since the house is getting a bit packed, but this guy caught my eye. This little sad cabinet had belonged to a 1960s bookshelf that was long gone and was laying about in the quietness of a my grandparents garage. Legless, scratched and with some water stains, it needed some TLC.
After some deep sanding, it was time to give it a new structure. So, as a totally inept carpenter, I did what any girl would do: call her father. And, luckily, he knows me so well that there was no need to tell him what I wanted, he just carved these cute mid-century looking legs.
Then, inspired by ferm LIVING, a brand that I very much love, but is very Scandinavian priced for my Portuguese pockets, I drew a triangle pattern in the doors and used some paint that we had left from past projects. The only thing that was specifically bought for this project were the new door knobs, and I got those for sale at Zara Home!
Thank you, Raquel! You can see more of this project on Raquel’s blog Inspiracionistas.
