Ashley’s took her guest bedroom from all-purpose-catch-all to swoon worthy oasis. Just look at that gorgeous green! That fabulous rug! When can we visit?

From Ashley: When we first moved in, we had a pretty standard guest bedroom. It was outdated, had dingy walls and a wallpaper border. It sat like this for quite some time and eventually just became a dumping ground for random decor pieces, clothes, etc.

My husband and I had finally just had enough. We decided to make a mid-century inspired bed and that was really the jumping off point for this room. We wanted to room to go with the rest of our house but be a bit out of our comfort zone as well.

The half-painted green walls are definitely not in our comfort zone, but they give such a spark to this room.

We added other DIY projects within the room and then started layering textures.

The overall room is a bit boho and a bit eclectic. We really love how it ended up coming together.
