One thing I love about this upgrade is that you can still see the heart of the original kitchen, it’s just…grown into its looks. Cara made a ton of smart choices to upgrade the look and usability of the space to create a bright and sleek kitchen.

From Cara: Before we even put in an offer on our current house, we knew that to make the house fit our needs and gain serious points for resale, the walls separating the closed off kitchen and formal dining room needed to go.

Several months—and a serious amount of eating out—later, this once dated kitchen of ours is now the open-concept space of our dreams. The size of the space, amount of light and overall feel of the house had made a complete 180 degree turn for the better.
