Rebecca saved this totally unassuming display from the trash and turned it into an unrecognizably stylish addition to her living room. With a little cash, and some ingenuity, she helped this piece make a total 180.

From Rebecca: We were throwing away an old gift wrap display at the stationery shop where I work. I took a good look at it and flipped it over, I thought it would make a great addition in my living room. I have a little bit of an obsession with white marble paired with gold and I also have “champagne taste on a beer budget”, so I got creative.

I repurposed the wooden disk that was in the base of the bin for the table top. I traced the round top onto some marble patterned contact paper from the dollar store, carefully cut it out, and stuck it down. I cleaned and spray painted the wire frame gold. There was nothing to it! I spent under $10 and it goes perfectly with my thrifted marble and gold lamp. It just shows that if you look at something a little differently, it can have a whole new life.
