Before & After: Miles of Style in a First “Grown Up” Apartment
After Josie helped her client, Lisa, move into her Prospect Heights apartment she tackled the task of figuring out a look and layout for the space that would meet the needs and wants of her client. The space needed to be multi-functional, work with the somewhat unconventional window alcove and inject some style into the space.
From Josie: After helping this client move to a new apartment, I provided individualized interior design services, including shop-able mood boards and floor plan consultation. We worked together to incorporate her existing pieces into the design, and kept the project within her $5k budget.
We worked around the apartment’s existing window alcove and kept the space versatile: she uses the space to play piano, host friends for movie night, and entertain at the dining table. The best part according to Lisa, is that she now loves spending time at home. It’s her first ‘grown up’ apartment that she feels grateful to spend time in — and I’m so happy for her!
