This Shape-Shifting Office Chair Lets You Sit as Weird as You Want
A major plus to working from home is that you can sit whatever way is most comfortable for you without worrying about getting strange looks from your coworkers. Inspired by the multitude of ways to sit, product company Bravo Tribe designed an attractive work chair that can click into 10 different formations to help you continue to sit comfortably, even when you return to the office.
The chair is called BeYou, and it can shift in form—from a recliner to napping bed and lunch desk, among many others—depending on what you want and need. While it’s currently just a design concept, Bravo Tribe’s hope is that the idea resonates with enough supporters on Kickstarter to make the vision a reality.
“We sit in an office, we sit working from home, we sit down to relax, we sit while eating. But despite our years of experience, we suck at it,” the Kickstarter reads. “When you can change your position easily so you feel more comfortable, your level of focus and productivity skyrockets.”
The BeYou chair can be reformatted in seconds and fits under most desks, plus it has a weight capacity of 400 pounds. Additionally, the chair is made of oak veneer that makes the build strong and stable, and the wood is covered in stain-resistant fabric.
“The minimalist and timeless design looks great in any room,” the Kickstarter campaign says. “BeYou transforms to help you sit better no matter if you’re working or relaxing… or both.”
The Kickstarter campaign for the BeYou chair opened at the end of September and is currently still accepting backers. By registering through the Kickstarter page, you can receive up to 50 percent off the BeYou chair when it launches.
The future of sitting at your desk is here—and way more comfortable than ever before.
