Black History Month might be coming to a close, but Black creators aren’t going anywhere — and Instagram is full of talented and creative Black DIYers who are delivering inspiring and educational content throughout the year. Looking for some fresh people to follow? We’ve got you. Here, some of our favorite Black DIYers on Instagram share some of their favorite accounts to follow for ideas and inspiration.

Elena, aka @thishouse5000

Elena (@thishouse5000) is a blogger based in Toronto, where she and her handy husband are renovating and decorating their 1935 fixer-upper. She’s all about cozy neutrals — just peep the seriously gorgeous cane-and-wood bed she and her husband DIYed.

Other highlights: a very cool vase collection and hilarious videos documenting Elena’s journey to the most gorgeous tiled bathroom.

Amanda Walker, aka @dwellaware

Dallas, Texas-based Amanda Walker (@dwellaware) is a self-proclaimed “minimalist all about color” whose DIYs range from paint projects — like the fab mural shown here — to a full-on renovation of her porch.

Medina, aka @grillodesigns

Medina Grillo (@grillodesigns) is a UK-based DIY blogger with a love for IKEA, upcycling, and turning rentals into places that feel custom and homey. She’s also the creator of @howirent_, a video series that highlights renters who aren’t afraid to really dig in when decorating their spaces.

Ursula Carmona (@homemadebycarmona) is DIY blogger and mother of three who can build with the best of them. She’s remodeled her home’s bathrooms, closets, living spaces, and more — and made her own greenhouse, which she documents on @carmonaacres.

Stacie, aka @staciesspaces

Stacie Abdallah (@staciesspaces) is an Atlanta-based DIYer with a serious green thumb. Her feed is full of gorgeous and budget-friendly DIYs, like stylish kid’s room shelving and an under-$50 mudroom makeover.

Ashley Basnight, aka @smashingdiy

Ashley Basnight (@smashingdiy) goes big with her projects, tackling everything from modern hall trees to a full-on kitchen renovation. But for every tool-heavy project she takes on, Basnight has a smaller beginner-friendly project, like a stenciled hairpin leg coffee table or a modern coat rack. Oh, and by the way: She also appeared on NBC’s “Making It.”

Lauren, aka @pinchplateparty

Smyrna, Georgia-based Lauren (@pinchplateparty) is all about simple DIYs with big payoff, like hand-painted “wallpaper,” and a cool closet redo that’s equal parts style and function. You’ll also find small woodworking projects, like this sleek propagation station and this impossibly stylish dog bed DIY.

Other highlights: Lauren’s soothing bathroom redo and the cutest little IKEA kitchen makeover you ever did see.
