Bridgette shares inspiring photos and engaging DIYs from this loft on Instagram and TikTok, but also gives peeks from another space she’s decorated wildly: their TikTok-famous Nashville Airbnb.

Along with being a blank space for color and pattern, Bridgette and Blue’s San Diego rental loft is great because there’s a unique layout and plenty of space. “It’s nice to feel like we both have our own individual space upstairs and downstairs even though it’s a ‘loft,'” she writes. “The loft is right in the heart of Gaslamp (downtown San Diego), so there’s so much to do. We’re right by so many amazing bars, restaurants, Petco Park, Waterfront Park, Seaport Village, etc. I’m in love with DIY projects, painting, and interior decorating, so I spend a lot of my time hunting for cool vintage pieces to refurbish and make unique to style in our loft or in the spaces I work on!”
Apartment Therapy Survey:
My Style: Funky, Eclectic, Pop, Maximal, Colorful, Bold
Inspiration: I’m so inspired by color. Everything I do is bold and weird, so I figured that my home should match me. I love refurbishing statement pieces by adding vibrant colors, textiles, and prints. I’m in this weird phase where I’m in love with hot pink and disco balls haha.
Favorite Element: I love the fact that 95 percent of my loft I DIYed and bought secondhand. The only thing that we bought new was our mattress, kitchen items, and side tables!
Biggest Challenge: The layout was a bit hard to figure out… the living room space is very small, so we weren’t sure how to navigate that. We ended up just making it work and getting smaller furniture pieces. We also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on our space, so getting almost everything second hand was not only SO FUN, but SO affordable.
Proudest DIY: I recently thrifted this $40 panther coffee table off of Facebook Marketplace. It was super cute already, but I spray painted it hot pink and now she is ICONIC.
I also got our TV stand for free off facebook, and renovated it into a funky, irregular, green stunner.
I also made my headboard out of pool noodles!!
Is there something unique about your home or the way you use it? Basically everything is second-hand and flipped.
What are your favorite products you have bought for your home and why? I thrifted all of my glassware and I’m sooo glad I did! It’s so much more fun to have unique and colorful glassware instead of boring cups.
Finally, what’s your absolute best home secret or decorating advice? FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE! The best place to find cool stuff, hands down. Be proactive, look often, and search things like: funky, colorful, vintage, post modern, art deco, unique, irregular, bold, ’70s, ’80s, etc.
