If you need a nap in the city that never sleeps, then there’s a new way for you to catch some ZZZs. Casper, the direct-to-consumer mattress company that started the bed in a box craze, has opened The Dreamery, a nap café next to its store in New York.

If you’re new to nap cafés, then you’ve been sleeping on a trend. Our collective busy lifestyles have seen the creation of both temporary and permanent public nap options pop up across the globe, from Dubai to Spain and, yep, already in New York. This isn’t even Casper’s first foray into naps; in 2015, the company took their custom Napmobile on an East Coast tour of seven US cities.

“A lot of people need a break but don’t have a place for it, whether they’ve taken the redeye and need a place to crash, or are far minutes away from home and need to settle down for a bit during a 14-hour work day,” Eleanor Morgan, Casper’s senior vice president of experience, tells Racked. “We’re passionate about creating a cultural movement around sleep, and we think a lot about how to give people different ways to rest and recharge.”

The going rate for 45 minutes of nap time is $25, and comes with a cadre of luxury perks, like pajamas by Sleepy Jones, a toothbrush set from Hello, face wash from Sunday Riley, essential oils geared toward sleep, and ambient sounds and meditations from Headspace. The pods are outfitted with Casper’s mattresses, pillows, and linens (which are switched after every nap), as well as an eye mask. There’s even a chic lounge where you can chill, post-nap (both The Dreamery and Casper’s retail location were designed by architecture firm HollwichKushner).

With The Dreamery, Casper is hoping to normalize daytime sleep in America, and hopes to expand the concept to college campuses, corporate buildings and airports, reports Bloomberg.

Naps can be booked in advance on The Dreamery’s website, and walk-ins are welcome.
