Name: Louisa (2 years old)
Location: Southport, Connecticut

We just moved into a historic house last spring and I was scrambling to pull together the kids’ rooms without too much expense and too much effort! This little room came together with nothing more than paint, a simple craft project and some thrifted decor!

The hanging tapestry over her crib is made from two IKEA throw rugs and a homemade freezer paper stencil.

The yellow bookshelf was a flea market find that was transformed with a bright bold yellow. Other thrifted finds: the rattan pendant and the lamp.

The rug was the focal point of the space and comes from RugsUSA.

I added a little pizazz to the curtains by adding bright green ball fringe to each edge.

Thanks, Charlotte! You can see more of Louisa’s room on Charlotte’s blog Ciburbanity.
