Check Out Beyoncé and Jay Z’s $26 Million House in the Hamptons
Seems like Bey and Jay are crazy in love with a new house. The mega stars closed on a property last month in Bel Air, but they’ve got their East coast pad on lock now, too. The music moguls also spent $25.925 million in July for this sprawling East Hampton manse, as spotted on 6sqft.
Dubbed Pond House, the 12,000 square foot home is located on over two acres by Georgica Pond and next to a 17 acre meadow preserve (read: tons of privacy). Originally built buy classical architect Standford White, has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. It was expanded and renovated in 2008, when builder Jeffrey Collé who “famously rotating the house 90 degrees so that the living room faced west over the pond instead of north,” according to Behind the Hedges.
Collé is responsible for all the French details and sourcing, according to the listing on Compass:
The quarter-sawn white oak paneling, a signature Collé detail, glows with a hand-applied French chalk finish. This impeccable home has hand-pegged parquet de Versailles floors throughout, created and installed by French craftsmen, complementing the museum-quality 18th-century French Louis XV carved stone fireplaces.
There are also hand-carved heated marble tubs, because of course there are.
6sqft reports that the property sat on the market for eight whole years, and was first listed back in 2009 for $39.5 million, was then reduced by $4.5 million in 2010, dropped another $5 mill 18 months later, until it reached its final listing price of $28.995 million in 2013 (on which Bey and Jay saved an additional $3 million).
The property also boasts an 1,800 square foot detached guest house that includes a living room, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and bath. And don’t forget the infinity pool: it comes with a spa, an outdoor grilling area, and “is surrounded by a wrap around terrace of beautiful Turkish limestone.”
We can’t think of anything more perfect for Queen B.
