Clare & Mike’s Super Glam Salvaged “Brady Bunch” Home

Name: Clare (Broadcast Producer) & Mike (Advertising Creative Director)
Location: Leaside – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We both lived in Leaside when we started dating. Mike has 3 children and I have 2. They range in age from 12 to 17. Mike was living in a small apartment and I was living in a small 3 bedroom house. We got married in September of 2014 and needed to find a new house that was big enough to fit all 7 of us.

We wanted to stay in Leaside to accommodate all the kids and the schools they were in.

Our budget however, was not Leaside friendly!

We stumbled upon this house. It needed some love and updates. On a smart budget and with a great contractor we plowed through 5 weeks of speed renos and just moved in last month!

We refinished all the floors & counters and re-painted cabinets. We made the entry hall more contemporary with a custom designed/painted mural as an homage to our 5 kids. We’ve had a lot of fun re-doing what we’ve lovingly named our “Leaside Salvage”!
