Back in 2021, paint companies made it known that sage green was going to be the shade of 2022. It’s calming (which is needed), it signifies growth and new beginnings (again, which is needed), and it’s generally well-liked by all.

Clare, who is no stranger to a good sage green — see Dirty Martini, Money Moves, and Avocado Toast for proof — is making sure the love for sage green won’t burn out halfway through the year. The clean paint company just launched two new sagey greens for spring, and the lighter shade, High Vibe, will attract neutral lovers and color fans alike.

Unlike the bluish hues already available through Clare, High Vibe, and its sister shade Extra Virgin, are warm greens with a yellow undertone.

High Vibe is almost like an alternate universe’s version of vibrant chartreuse. It’s bright, springy, and warm, yet doesn’t scream green. Both new sage hues look like they were mixed with clay rather than a pure white base, which makes them perfect for those who aren’t afraid of color but want to keep their space tranquil.

Clare also released a new beige color called Like Buttah, and as the name suggests, it has a buttery yellow tint to it.

The three new paints are all zero-VOC. They’re GREENGUARD Gold-certified, meaning the formula meets GREENGUARD’s third-party chemical emissions standards and supports healthier indoor air quality, and all Clare paints are low odor and self-priming.

Sage green isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. With High Vibe giving off that “good energy glow,” as its description on Clare’s website reads, sage green might continue into 2023, 2024, and yes, maybe all the way into 2025.
