One of my favorite ways to unwind is building bespoke bouquets of blooms. The kitchen sink is usually where my hauls come home.

Name: Lindsay Meyer, CEO of Batch, and pup, Ralphie
Styling: Rosy Fridman
Location: Design District — San Francisco, California
Type of home: Apartment
Size: 1,055 square feet
Years lived in: 1 year, renting

Shortly after I moved in, I found Ralphie on the bottom shelf of this entry table. I thought it was so cute, I let him claim the space as his own.

Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I’m the founder and CEO of Batch. We began in 2017 as an experiential retail concept that brought a new assortment of brands into a 100+ year old firehouse every 8-10 weeks. Of course, being the creative force and strategic mind of the brand, I am especially considered in how to decorate my own space. I treat everything sort of like a merchandiser would plan our a store. I love to build collections of items and tell cohesive stories where possible. I’m also practical, because I’m a Midwesterner by background, and I’ve always lived on a more DIY budget. I think this has been informative in business and in my own design sensibilities.

Ralphie models his rororiri jacket in a rust color to match mom's! Table by Kevin Costello of Slice Furniture, a Minnesota-maker.

People would likely identify the Batch brand as being pink, and indeed, that is the exact color of my curved velvet platform bed. I can never resist a pop of something shiny, and a good rainbow gets me every time, hence my Kindah-inspired bathroom.

Welcome to the master bath, where Kindah Khalidy's work is the highlight, including a custom-fabricated shower curtain!

I’m naturally drawn to more restrained neutral tones, which I’ve tried to bring into the main living areas. I see myself as a “curator of cool” and naturally, I am always on the hunt for the coolest items by undiscovered or on-the-rise makers.

Rather than a barcart, a makeshift cocktail moment was made from a Croft House marble side table, a Lucite tray, and a few bottles of favorite spirits.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: A modern, clean canvas.

Meet my blush pink dream bedroom! I replaced the horrible silver ceiling fan with a more muted light fixture that ties in the gold legs of the bed frame and nightstand. The small wooden stool is a "wing stand" made by former Batch brand Sun at Six.

What is your favorite room and why? The bedroom was my attempt to live out my girlhood pink palace dreams. I think the watercolor mural really helped achieve that. I also wanted preppy monogrammed bed linens for years and I finally brought that to fruition. I love how the pink feels modern without being a bubblegum castle. When I slip into the bedroom, I can just breathe and re-center.

In the living room, a trio of pieces from Croft House, an LA-based modern furniture maker that was featured at Batch in 2018, sets the stage for an airy welcome home. The leather detailing is carried across the front of the Bronson Credenza to the CB2 Reynold Floor Lamp. Leaning ladder by The Citizenry. Art: framed Tom Dixon stencil and a small succulent holder from PDX-based Carter & Rose.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? I just moved and unfortunately the only thing that was misplaced in the process was my hairdryer. I was super pumped to have an excuse to buy the Dyson Supersonic!

Ralphie lounges on the sofa. Floor-to-ceiling windows and built-in bookshelf systems are some of the features that really make the place special.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Don’t be afraid to make different rooms go in different directions. My very blush-toned bedroom leads into a rainbow-hued bathroom. The main living areas are much more restrained. In totality, it’s a space that works for me and fuses many of my loves together in one fabulous space.
