Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: It’s an original Victorian property built in 1896. Some original features include fireplaces and a brick oven. I live with my three kids, now 11, 13 and 14, my husband, and my 81-year-old widowed mother.

It was all plain and magnolia [UK’s version of “renter beige walls”] when we moved in and it had three bedrooms. We have since added a loft with two more bedrooms and a shower room.

We also injected our love of pattern, colour, and nature in our home and hope that it reflects our story and journey as a family.

What is your favorite room and why? The front room is the current favorite with our new mustard-colored sofa against our dark green walls and ceiling.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The cabin! We built a “cabin-in-the-woods” in our garden!
