Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: Brian and I developed a fascination with vintage finds when we found a mutual love for home decor. I work in the textiles world, and Brian has an innate sense of style. We have curated our home to truly fit our personality. We also have an extensive plant collection that breathes life into our one-bedroom.
We have a mix of old and new, high-end and low cost. What started as a mid-century motif evolved into a very unique living space that surpasses a definitive style marker. We are very much into warm tones and comfort. We have a love for vintage glassware that can be seen in our decorating style. Our accessories come from small shops and vintage stores across the country. We’re definitely maximalists; there isn’t a space that hasn’t been touched.
What is your favorite room and why? I truly love our bedroom. We have this wall of baskets that I collected over the years from a friend who would bring one back from Africa for me on each of her visits. I am a huge fan of bedding and love how we’ve styled it. Every night I slip in to bed, I feel like I’m truly at home.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Southwestern, Mid-Century, Eclectic, Boho Whimsy
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? We found this Moroccan rug for our living room and had it shipped. It truly elevated our entertainment space. Great addition!
Any advice for creating a home you love? Don’t set boundaries based on home styles. It’s okay to mix decades, aesthetics, and colors. Your home is a place to recuperate, recharge, and feel like your safe place. Make every piece scream, “This is me!”
