Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My husband and I recently purchased our forever home in Colorado after years of renting and living in other states. See, I was a flight attendant and was never in one place. Then kids came along (our three beautiful girls). I feel I’ve always seen color and putting colors together differently — in the most surprising ways. My husband is very easy-going, so he puts up with all my crazy schemes and plans. I’ve dreamt of the day I own my home and can go crazy with decorating. We’ve only recently settled in, so there will be many, many decorating ideas.

My personality definitely shines through my decor style — the boldness and vigor and sauciness. I’m from Belize, so there are a lot of hot sauces in everything.

What is your favorite room and why? My bedroom followed closely by my office. I can be mad and stressed and everything in between, but walking into my room to the sunshine yellow and big windows just envelopes me in warmth and happiness.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? I bought this beautiful jewel tone accent rug that will be going in my living room. A part of my new scheme and ideas I have going on in my head that I want to come alive in my living room.

Any advice for creating a home you love? There should be no rules when it comes to decorating your home. You are not decorating for the masses but for your soul. I feel like your home is an extension of your soul and spirit, so let your heart and soul sing with joy. In other words, beat to your own drum. Collect items you love. Buy items you know will work in any room of your home if the decorating bug hits. It saves lots of money.
