The home has been theirs for two and a half years now, and the family has expanded to include kids Louie (6), Leia (2.5), and Ville (4 months). The couple has renovated every room in the home except for the bathrooms, including changing the floors out to a lighter finish than when they moved in. But the biggest thing they’ve done to the house is add color. Lots of it. “I have repainted the walls and I love colors, especially pink and yellow,” Sofia explains. “All the colors I have you can [see] in one way or another in every room, so everything feels connected.”

The couple did have challenges when it came to renovating their home, mostly budget and time. “[I]t took some time to make it the way I wanted it, but I think this is why it feels so good there,” Sofia begins.

“The budget wasn’t a specific amount; it was more that we didn’t have [a lot] money to use on decoration and other interior stuff. The biggest challenge was to accept that it was gonna take some time; I usually want everything to be done fast, and I am not that patient.”

It’s ultimately all the color they’ve chosen for their home that makes it so one of a kind. “I think that all color choices are personal,” she explains when asked about what makes her home unique. But the fact that she paints the ceilings “in different colors and not white” has also led to this exceptional looking home!
