Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: We moved from a large five-bedroom detached house to our current home due to a dip in finances during Covid. This beautiful house became available from a friend and we jumped at the chance to buy our Victorian period terrace. It has high ceilings and lots of interesting features and our family fit right in! We love color, pattern, and texture and as a creative bunch we have relished putting our stamp on it.

Myself and my husband make most of the renovation/decor decisions jointly and I would say we both identify as color lovers. We are both passionate about sustainability and have collected lots of vintage pieces or furniture and collectibles over the years.

We didn’t realize maximalism was a thing until I started posting on Instagram about my home and now I have found my people! I have ADHD and I use my home as a creative outlet and this type of home lends itself so well to seasonal decor. We have a leopard print sofa as I’m an animal print enthusiast and my giant ceramic leopard is my pride and joy!

What is your favorite room and why? Our front lounge is my favorite room, as it is home to my leopard print sofa and my giant, extra large leopard. This is where we hang out as a family and watch films; it’s super cozy as we have a log burner and it’s the perfect space to relax.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? My leopard print sofa of dreams!

Any advice for creating a home you love? Just go for it. Don’t hold back; life is too short. We spent a lot of time playing safe in previous homes, worried about resale and not enjoying the space! But decor is easily reimagined if you need to sell so you do you! Also mood boarding is essential to get a feel for what works!
