The Container Store tackles a wide variety of home organizing dilemmas, including major closet transformations that, yes, includes those gorgeous pantry ones you see on Instagram. And just like IKEA did earlier this year, the retailer is honing in on one of its services by opening its first-ever concept store: The Container Store Custom Closets.

Located in Los Angeles, the new space is now open, focusing specifically on its custom closets across all home categories—from linen closets to pantries to bedroom wardrobes. The Container Store in L.A. was fully renovated and reimagined to house the new Custom Closets store, where customers will have access to 65 closet and lifestyle displays in addition to a personalized design experience, all under one roof.

“The design of the store is elevated yet accessible, serving as a true design resource that allows customers to talk through their projects and visualize specific aspects of the design while having easy access to shop for key organization products,” says VP of Real Estate, Val Richardson. “We want to offer customers in multi-store markets a combination of traditional full-assortment stores as well as Custom Closets stores catering to those interested in custom space designs with more robust resources.”

The company is shifting focus toward custom closets to become “further strengthen our offerings to become the go-to custom closets resource for every size, style and budget,” according to says CEO Melissa Reiff. The retailer’s concept store will aim to achieve this through inspiring in-person displays that cover every area of the home—from the kitchen pantry to the bathroom closet—while selling the items that are required to make the magic happen.

In addition to its products, The Container Store Custom Closets will also have work stations and a full design center for designers and trade members alike. Additionally, the concept store will allow customers to work with in-store experts to bring their closet dreams to life, which some might prefer over the online experience.

Here’s to a more organized (and stylish) life and home.
