After the children left the nest, Debbie and Martyn Wright decided it was time for them to create their dream home. Having searched for four years, they finally found this 1960s bungalow, which sat on an amazing plot with uninterrupted views of the countryside.

The bungalow itself was pretty dated, so the couple originally planned to demolish it and build something brand new on the site, but having had their plans rejected by the council, they had to rethink their strategy. It forced the couple to be creative with the existing bungalow structure, and together with their architect, they have created an extension at the back that made the most of the view.

With a big family, they wanted to create a space that would be great for entertaining, and Debbie and Martyn have created a wonderful haven for all the family to enjoy.
