There’s nothing like a comfortable space to call your own, especially during the holidays. One mom on Reddit shared the cozy makeover she gave her son’s bedroom, and the verdict is in: 47.6 thousand Redditors have given it an upvote, which the comments on the post indicate mean 11/10, very cozy, would move in if invited.

The loving mom, who on Reddit goes by Girlinnjtraffic, posted the photos to the subreddit r/CozyPlaces, which is all around a lovely, soft spot to rest your eyes. She captioned her post, “My son asked me to ‘cozy’ up his basement bedroom before he comes home for Thanksgiving. Did I deliver?”

Here’s her original post:

Long story short, my mom had some medical issues last month that meant she could no longer live alone. I had to move her in with my family. I moved my son’s bedroom to the basement as it was the biggest room available. His only request was to make it cozy. There’s more pictures here: https://imgur.com/gallery/QKg4yn2

I don’t want him to feel slighted that we had to make room for grandma. What do you think?

Commenters thought she did a great job, some calling her a good parent and child, and others saying they’d love to live in a space this cozy. “Umm, are you adopting?” one wrote. “[A]sking for a friend.”

To a question about where the furnishings came from, the original poster replied, “IKEA. So much is from IKEA. I was on a tight budget after redoing my moms room. So many changes.”

A few commenters even said she did too good a job on the room. “You messed up, he is never going to leave now, it looks amazing,” one said.

Girlinnjtraffic returned to update readers on her son’s response to the room:

I want you to know he loved it and was very appreciative of all the work his family put into it on his behalf. Best wishes for everyone during the upcoming holiday season. I sincerely hope everyone finds their own cozy place to ring in the New Year!

Cheers to kind parents and cozy spaces!
