Every day that passes brings us a step closer to packing up the thick blankets in favor of lighter options. I have a variety of blankets at home, but haven’t exactly built up a proper collection of throw blankets that are actually easy to throw around. Most are for bundling up and staying warm — they’re heavy, thick, and mainly stay in the closet. So I’ve been keeping an eye out for lightweight blankets that are cozy, super soft, and don’t add clutter to my living room.

Oprah-approved bedding brand Cozy Earth sent over their Cloud Knit Throw, which seemed to check all my boxes, at least on paper. But I still needed to put it to the test to see if it could be my new favorite for everyday R&R.

When I first received the Cloud Knit Throw, I thought I’d been sent a fashionable swag bag from Cozy Earth. As a pleasant surprise, the blanket comes in a super-stylish tote that’s large enough to hold the blanket and more, making it really easy to put the blanket away for storage or to take it with you on the go. As for the blanket itself, the first thing I noticed was its weight. It was heavier than I expected it to be but still lightweight enough for the beach and outdoors when temperatures rise. Just looking at this blanket makes me excited for sunny days and warm weather.

The Cloud Knit Throw is unbelievably cool and SO soft! It’s made from bamboo and has an attractive, breathable weave, so you don’t get too hot when you wrap it around yourself. It drapes beautifully, even when I haphazardly toss it onto the couch — I doubt I could make this blanket look messy if I tried! The fabric doesn’t pill, and as an added bonus, the blanket is machine washable for effortless cleaning.

Want more thickness (without additional heat)? Just fold the Cloud Knit Throw in half for a double layer feel that’s even cozier. I haven’t had too many visitors lately, but judging by how much I love to relax with this blanket, I can already tell that this is the one that my guests will be vying for. Maybe I need two?
