What better way to get a fresh start for your home for spring than by switching up some of your seasonal decor? And what better place to score that seasonal decor than Dollar Tree, a treasure trove of cute, springy offerings? The discount store’s products are always so stylish and super inexpensive, so your money will go a long way when shopping for home decor.

Content creator and design expert Annemarie Schumacher, founder of Make Every Day an Event, loves shopping at Dollar Tree specifically because it allows her to “create an amazing, high-end look for any spring occasion in a few easy steps, without breaking the bank.” And she’s all about the brand’s new spring collection, which is full of bright, cheery products that will make your home feel happy and fresh.

“Now is the perfect time to create a clever, garden-themed tablescape using a few curated items from Dollar Tree,” says Schumacher. “These table setting ideas are perfect for a variety of spring celebrations including Easter, brunches, birthdays, showers, or Mother’s Day.”

We turned her loose at Dollar Tree with $50 to see what she’d scoop up, and these are the top spring decor picks she’d buy for her own home.

“To start, I’d place this faux grass table runner down the center of the table,” Schumacher says. “It’s perfect to be reused for several different spring occasions including an Easter dinner, Mother’s Day brunch, or even a Kentucky Derby party. It’s an ideal foundation on which to build a beautiful spring tablescape. Plus, it adds a lot of interest to any spring table.”

“These fabric carrots are simply adorable and perfect for any spring tablescape,” says Schumacher. “I would scatter them on top of the faux grass runner for a colorful and festive spring look. Their gingham pattern and orange color will create contrast and really pop off of the green runner. Fabric accents are very popular right now and are typically found at much higher-end retailers at much higher prices. These are a great value — one of my favorite tablescaping tricks is to add texture.”

“These jute carrots are a perfect way to make texture happen,” adds Schumacher. “I would mix the jute carrots with the fabric carrots, and scatter them down the center of the table for contrast. Adding the matching jute carrot napkin rings at each place setting will truly tie everything together!”

“I absolutely adore these flocked bunny figurines,” says Schumacher. “I would place a group of three on each end of the table runner. You could also replace their raffia bows with a grosgrain or satin ribbon. Although, the natural raffia really plays into the natural garden theme of the table I’m envisioning.”

“How darling would it be to put one of these fabric carrot gift bags on top of the plate at each place setting?” Schumacher says. Beyond that, they can also be used for party favors and easy gifting for some spring treats. Or fill them up with some fluffy polyester craft stuffing to use them as decor throughout your home.

“For an added touch on your table, you could also use a few of these galvanized planters to hold napkin rolls or even to ice bottled drinks for a garden-themed gathering,” says Schumacher. “These metal vases with rope accents would also be great to display items for a buffet. The metal adds another texture to create interest on the tablescape.” The planter can also be used to display fresh spring flowers or other decorative accents throughout your home.

“I also love this wildflower stoneware for spring,” Schumacher says. “Its design is modern and fresh, with bright pops of color, evoking an aesthetic that is significantly above its reasonable price point.” These look so much more expensive than they actually are, and the wildflower pattern is sure to impress any guest.
