Diane Keaton in kitchen with wares from Hudson Grace for collaboration.

Academy Award-winning actor and author Diane Keaton just added another line to her impressive résumé: housewares designer. Today, her exclusive collaboration with Hudson Grace launches, and it’s perfect for hosting, fall tablescaping, and refreshing for the season.

The collection, which spans the categories of tabletop, candles, bedding, small accessories, and pets, is a ideal match. Keaton, an avid Hudson Grace shopper, already had a number of the retailer’s pieces in her home. She and the design team paired up to expand upon those items by creating new colorways of some of her favorites — linen dinner napkins and everyday wine glasses — as well as introducing new complementary pieces.

All of the items fit into Keaton’s signature black-and-white palette with pops of a jaunty crimson appropriately dubbed “Keaton Red.” Many of the tabletop items would mesh nicely with any plain white china, though the collection includes a few of its own full dinnerware offerings, including a beautiful tonal gray splatter design

The aesthetic is perhaps best described as coastal cool, maybe even Nancy Meyers’-esque, but with a decidedly Keaton edge and playfulness. Think perfectly imperfect white ceramic platters, cozy linen bedding, and graphic matchbooks and paper napkins with witty sayings on them. Instead of trotting out clear hurricanes, Keaton has produced them in smokey glass. The proportions of many of the pieces are generous, and the whole vibe of the line feels refined but relaxed. You can see the organic quality of the human hand at work in the ceramics, and even the pet beds feel smart, thanks to the stylish patterned fabrics and attention to sewing details.
