Accent walls can liven up any space, but it’s no secret that they’re often on the costly side. Therefore, it’s no surprise that many DIY enthusiasts have found ways to make bold design statements using affordable pieces from larger chain stores. Case in point: A recent viral TikTok, in which two girls created an eye-catching living room accent wall using $7 mirrors from Target.

Recently, TikTok user @maggiemakestiktoks shared a video of herself and a friend “trying the $7 Target mirror wall” — a.k.a. buying five of Room Essentials’ 13.5” x 49.5” Framed Door Mirrors and mounting them side-by-side on a living room wall. The result? A chic, attention-grabbing addition to the space. As Maggie put it in her caption: “Balling on a budget.”

Clearly, Target mirror walls are here to stay — in just four days, the video racked up over 38,500 likes.

If you’re curious about how to install your mirrors, Maggie has you covered. She also offered some installation advice to a fellow TikTok user, recommending command strips. “Use four on all corners of each mirror,” she advised. “We only did two at first & they started falling.”

Commenters also had some ideas for further customization, should you be interested in trying this hack for yourself.

“Would look super cute if you put fake vines or lights around them!” one user pointed out.

Another TikTok commenter took things a step further, writing, “I took the frames off mine and it made one big mirror.”

It’s worth noting that the mirrors come in black, white, green, and red, so feel free to choose whichever color best matches your home decor aesthetic.

Whatever you choose to do, one thing is clear: Adding statement mirrors to your home has never been easier.
