Name: Dominic
Location: West Hollywood, California

I always wanted to have my own place and after having the roommate experience, I’ve decided to get a place of my own. I wanted to be close to work and also in the neighborhood with interior design resources so I chose West Hollywood, California. After seeing many one bedrooms and studios, I found a decent size, large studio apartment.

I wanted to showcase my design eye and express my creative insights. I worked on my studio for about two years until it was finished. I have used over 30 different vendors to make the space feel distinctive with taste and character. I currently rent; however I won’t be moving for a while. I wanted to show my friends, family and work colleagues that I am very serious about interior design and live and breathe for it. I wanted to make my studio spacious, but also functional.

In one large space I was able to make eleven distinctive places. They are as follows: Entry foyer, master bedroom, living room, library one, library two, living room, dining room, dining foyer, kitchen, dressing room and bathroom. This is all in a studio apartment that is approximately 560 square feet. I wanted to show, no matter what room size you have, you can transform it.

My style is modern, sexy glam. I wanted to show a modern theme with glamorous elements. I currently work at an interior design firm and I was inspired by my colleagues and also by nature. I have a custom geo rock for a coffee table, grass-cloth wall coverings and Indonesian teak wood balls to name a few items that makes it feel more organic in the space. During the day, I work with clients about designing their personal spaces and I am very happy that I can come home to my own designed personal space and call it home.
