Drew Barrymore’s Best-Selling Walmart Chair Is on Rare Sale — and It’ll Definitely Sell Out
I used to live in a teensy-tiny studio apartment, which was so small that I couldn’t even squeeze a loveseat sofa in there. (I suppose that’s what I get for touring the apartment via video call.) I made the most of my little corner of New York City, and I ended up loving it during the few years I lived there, but having only a singular armchair for seating was a struggle. It didn’t help that the chair I chose wasn’t the best for curling up in, so I ended up lounging on my bed more often than not. Take it from me: Don’t underestimate the power of a cozy armchair.
Right as I was about to move out, I came across the oversized reading chair of my dreams: Drew Barrymore’s Beautiful Chair. It would’ve been the perfect solution to my sofa-less small apartment, as it offers all of the comforts of one in a more compact package. What’s more, it would’ve been friendly on my wallet while I was a student, as it comes in at just under $300. (Most others of a similar size and look will go for at least double). It’s no wonder why it’s gone viral and sold out multiple times, and it might just happen again while its price is even better: The newest color, Charcoal, is $100 off for a limited time!
What Is the Beautiful Drew Chair by Drew Barrymore?
“I wanted it to be more than a chair because a chair is great for upright,” Barrymore told AT when the chair first launched last year. “I want to be able to cover myself. I want to be able to tuck my legs in. I can lie back and drape my legs over. There are many ways that you can be in the chair. I wanted it to be more like the way a couch functions.”
According to over 5,000 five-star reviews, the Beautiful Chair absolutely delivers on that front. It’s 40 inches wide and has a seat depth of a little over 33 inches, so you can curl up on it in any of the ways Barrymore described — even snuggling up with your furry friend if you have one. The seat is springy, padded, and supportive for long-term lounging, as are the three included accent pillows. You can swivel it in any direction to suit your needs, too!
Of course, I also have to call out this chair’s gorgeous design in addition to its comfy construction. The trendy bouclé fabric is soft and will give your space a relaxed look, furthered by its curved silhouette. It’s also stain-treated, and the discounted Charcoal color will only help its resistance to visual wear. “I’m so happy that we have a dark color offering, but it doesn’t feel dark and heavy,” Barrymore says in a TikTok video. “All of this fleck lightens it up and it does not pill and it’s great.”
What Walmart Shoppers Are Saying
Average Rating: 4.8/5
“Love this chair. It works SO well for our home and is super comfy! All of the other chairs like this that I found were at least twice the price, so I was a little worried about the quality, but it’s amazing. Sturdy, comfortable, overall 10/10.” —Melissa
“The fabric is timeless. While described as a bouclé fabric, it is not a trendy nubby bouclé fabric. This fabric has a smoother, rich texture. You should have two people to help put it together, but I was able to do it by myself. I am 5’2″ and I can curl up in the chair. I 100% recommend this beautiful and comfy chair. You will not be disappointed.” —styledecor
“This chair is so beautiful and the quality is so amazing for under $300. The cushion is firm but springy, and the chair fits great to curl up on and read a book or drink coffee. Love the swivel function, and it turns easily. It is also very subtle bouclé, and I appreciate that. Very soft and comfortable. Our cats have used it as a scratching post a couple of times, but I have not seen any fabric issues yet (thankfully!).” —Mikayla
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a chair on the same level as this one for such a low price — especially while it’s on sale. Don’t make the same mistake as I did and put up with an armchair that’s anything less than perfect: Treat yourself and upgrade to the Beautiful Chair!
