I Own 3 Pairs of These Pajama-Robe Sets — They’re So Good, My Mom and Sister Bought 3, Too

As soon as my last email of the day is sent and I’m ready to settle in and cook dinner, I’m putting my pajamas on. I don’t care if I’m already in leggings and a sweatshirt; I need that pajama moment. And I know I’m not alone. There’s something about slipping into something a bit more comfortable that signals it’s time for the day to be done.

But not just any ol’ pajamas will do. It has to be a matching set — top and bottom — and it needs to be super-cozy and 100% cotton. This can be harder to find than one might think — particularly if you don’t want to spend over a hundred dollars. I stumbled upon a pair while searching Amazon last year and, three pairs later, I can confidently say this is the one pair you need in your pajama wardrobe — and it makes the perfect gift.

When I think of a classic pair of pajamas, I envision a solid color with white piping. It’s something out of a vintage Christmas tale — particularly if it’s in red with white piping (which is, in fact, next on my wish list). And I can’t recall what I originally searched to find this pair, but they hit the nail on the head stylistically. Plus, there’s a matching robe. What more could I want? If you haven’t joined the robe life, let me tell you, it’s time.

The minute I slipped these on, they were perfect. The pant legs are ankle-length, which is ideal because I hate when the bottom of my pajama pants gets worn. The “V” of the neckline is low enough to feel like it’s not too buttoned up around my neck and therefore uncomfortable. And they’re roomy, but in a way that feels chic. But the reason I’ve bought three pairs is the weight and feel of the fabric. I love a crisp pair of cotton percale pajamas, but sometimes I need a little bit of comfort food in pajama form. Maybe it’s cold out. Maybe I’ve had a long day. Maybe I’m not feeling well. Whatever it is, I want something softer than standard crisp cotton. That’s when these pajamas are a must. These cotton pajamas somehow combine 100% cotton with that cozy softness. When all of my pairs are in the laundry, well, I’m tempted to buy more.

When I find something this good, I have to get everyone else on board. This is my go-to gift for anyone and everyone now — especially because the nature of pajama sizing means it’s pretty much always easy to guess (when in doubt, go roomy — who’s going to complain about comfort?). Both my sister and mom have multiple pairs in their closet, and I have a feeling we’ll all be coordinating around the holidays. I’m seeing a matching red and green moment, perhaps?
