If our binges of Marie Kondo’s popular Netflix show have taught us anything, it’s that cleaning is good, but mindfully tidying up is so much sweeter. In the process, you inevitably discover the items that truly bring you joy and say farewell to those that don’t. But what if tossing unnecessary items could bring you joy and a stack of cash? If your tidying has unearthed treasures like vintage Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, you could be in for a solid payday.

In the 1980s, Cabbage Patch Kids were the most successful new doll introduction in the history of the toy industry, so it’s likely to stumble upon them hiding out in your closets or attic. There are several dolls with unique or rare hair, eye, and head-mold combinations that makes them more desirable with higher prices. While these adoptable dolls don’t quite fetch Beanie Baby level prices, there are still many with selling prices well into the $100s (although many of them do have a signature by Cabbage Patch Kids founder Xavier Roberts.)

This pony-tailed Cabbage Patch doll comes with quite the sticker shock. She is a vintage 1985 doll with a #3 head mold, green eyes, a soft body, and a signature on her rear so her “used” condition doesn’t factor in as much.

This red-haired cutie sold after a 17-bid bidding war. Her double red popcorn hair, green eyes, and pacifier make her quite the catch. She came with her birth certificate and adoption papers, which both bump up the price. She’s not in a box but listed as owned by “an adult collector,” so she hasn’t been played with and comes in very good condition.

This blonde doll is actually a Little People doll, one of the precursors to Cabbage Patch Kids. She comes with her original mint green outfit, shoes, and socks. However, she doesn’t come with her adoption papers (it has been 40 years since she was adopted after all.) Still, she retains a high value because she comes with a coveted signed tush.

This doll may not have much hair on her head, but that doesn’t diminish its value one iddy bit. The Iddy Buds doll named Ranny comes with her cute cabbage bed and is a limited edition signed doll. She’s number 319 of 750 and is in “crispy mint condition” because she’s been stored in an airtight bin since purchase, according to the seller.

She may be newer than most high-priced dolls, but her brunette popcorn pigtails and bright blue eyes are darn irresistible. Hannah Cindy was part of the Mossy Creek Kids special edition. The seller noted a few stains in her outfit, but she’s otherwise in like-new condition.

Three dolls are definitely better than one, especially when it includes three beloved Mark Twain characters transformed into soft doll form. This rare set comes with birth certificates, adoption papers, and first birthday cards from creators Xavier and Otis. They’ve been stored in dust cover bags. The only item missing is Huckleberry Finn’s fishing pole. After more than 30 years, that’s not too bad.
