I Tried This Robot Vacuum and Mop with No Dust Bag, and Here Are My Honest Thoughts

Here’s why this robot vacuum and mop stands out.

Setup and mapping was straightforward, and the app was easy to navigate — whether its changing cleaning modes (vacuum only, vacuum and mop at the same time, or mop after vacuuming), suction level, or other settings for the robot itself or requesting the bin to be emptied or mop to be cleaned at the docking station. 

The robot vacuum and mop can climb single thresholds as high as 0.94 inch and sliding door tracks up to 1.57 inches, which I was able to see happen in real time as it navigated rugs of different piles and several door thresholds (three in total). Plus, it has edge-cleaning technology, which means that the roller brush extends out 0.59 inch to get up against the wall.

I really liked that this mop uses a roller instead of small pads and that it scrubs and rinses 200 times per minute, according to the website. This, coupled with the fact that it uses two different cleaning solutions depending on the mess level, allows the vacuum to thoroughly clean floors. 

Once docked, the robot vacuum and mop self-cleans, and the roller is fully submerged into water heated to 167 degrees. Because it’s bagless, you do have to eventually empty and clean the dustbin, but I think this is a great feature, as it cuts down on waste overall. 

The bagless self-cleaning system stands out because not only is it a money saver, but it’s also eco-friendly. The roller mop works well and stays clean, thanks to its heated water cleaning (it gets fully submerged!). The adaptive climbing system allows it to move across different surfaces, and the dual cleaning solution lets it tackle a variety of messes with ease. 

As always, using a robot vacuum and mop is a great addition to your cleaning routine, but shouldn’t replace regular vacuuming or mopping altogether. And while this robot vacuum and mop is self-cleaning and bagless, you still have to regularly maintain it. For instance, the dust container is recommended to be emptied after each use; the dirty water box, drip tray, and filter should be cleaned weekly; and the roller mop should be replaced every one to two months, the side brush should be every three to six months, and the main brush should be every six to 12 months.
