Emily Ratajkowski’s Acrylic Crib Is Clearly a Big Hit
Model Emily Ratajkowski and her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, welcomed their child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, on March 8. Last month, Ratajkowski’s friends threw her a beautiful baby shower, during which the model shared party details with her followers on Instagram — including a pic of the baby’s crib, which looks like it belongs in the MoMA.
Ratajkowski has the Vetro Modern Classic Clear Acrylic Mini Crib from Kathy Kuo. As the name suggests, the crib is completely transparent and is made from 100 percent recycled non-toxic acrylic. The mattress can be adjusted to three different heights, and each crib is handmade.
And yes, it’s as expensive as it looks.
The regular-sized Vetro Modern acrylic crib (available in clear as well as translucent black) retails for a whopping $5,000 from Kathy Kuo. However, it looks like Ratajkowski opted for the “Mini” version of the Vetro Modern, which retails for $2,900.
Kathy Kuo also sells another style of acrylic crib with a metal base called the Luella, which also features a convertible mattress height option and is constructed with non-toxic acrylic and electro-plated steel.
If you love the look of a clear acrylic crib, there are affordable options on the market that don’t exceed $1,000. Wayfair sells a crib with acrylic details for $384.05 and Delta Children also sells a “4-in-1” acrylic crib that converts to a toddler bed, daybed, and sofa for $499.99. So it’s definitely doable to get the EmRata look for less.
