Erika sent us photos of her lovely, dramatically dark-walled NYC apartment. She writes: These are pictures of my apartment that I share with my girlfriend and three (!) cats. My style trends towards warmth with modern and vintage pieces mixed together. What I love about my home is how guests respond to it when they are here; the design makes people feel at home.

The special problem we had to overcome in our space is an awkward transition between the “dining room” and the “living room”. Before we got the piano, there was always this awkward empty 6-foot long area. Neither of us play the piano well so the piano now acts as a place to improve our playing skills and an amazing home accent!
