Erin Napier’s Vinyl Rug Is the Perfect Accessory For Her Daughter’s Craft Room
When accessorizing a space you know is going to get messy, cleanability is key. So when Erin Napier was on the hunt for the perfect area rug alternative for her daughter’s craft area, she went with a something a little out of the ordinary: vinyl.
Spicher and Company’s Vintage Vinyl floorcloths are incredibly durable, non-slip, and give the space the same warmth and texture as an area rug without the added worry about spills and stains.
According to the company’s website, Vintage Vinyl floorcloths are made with two-ply, non-slip vinyl that’s backed with a latex padding. The material is thin enough that it can fit under most doorways and does not contain phthalates or flammable materials. The floorcloths are also UV-resistant for up to three years and can be cleaned with a damp cloth and water (or, for tougher jobs, with diluted hand soap).
Napier picked up the Whig Rose floorcloth from the brand’s Folk Art Museum collection in the colorway “Life Is A Journey.” But this print — along with most Vintage Vinyl floorcloths — is also available in a handful of other colorways, too. Each one is made to look vintage and antique, so they’re the ideal accessory for those who love perfectly imperfect things.
And some floorcloths are even painted to look like hardwood, hand-knotted carpet, and ceramic tiles.
