I don’t know about you, but I love seeing what furniture and decor interior designers buy at retail for their own homes and projects. There’s something about knowing the pros have used a piece before — or would potentially incorporate an item into one of their design plans — that makes me feel extra confident about making a purchase for my home. And if those finds are on sale? Well, that’s just the icing on the cake!

So for this fall’s Way Day sale at Wayfair, I reached out to a handful of designers to see what’s on their shopping lists. You’ll find everything from centerpiece inspo to comfy chairs here, and it’s all been vetted by this go-to interior designer panel.

Union Rustic Kyzier Solid Wood End Table
$184$148

“I find myself turning to Wayfair again and again for drink tables. A room is never fully finished or comfortable unless every seat has a place for people to put their cocktail or coffee down. This Acacia one is so masculine and sculptural. And people always think it costs more than it did. The white pedestal one is great for a more traditional and feminine look.” —Designer Adnan Anwar of Adnan Anwar Design

$148 at Wayfair
Joss & Main Almandine Solid Wood Tray
$108$83

I use a lot of trays between indoor/outdoor living and general decor. I really love this wood tray. The warmth of the wood looks beautiful with whatever is stacked on top, and the squiggle detail is a fun touch! —Designer Sarah Storms of Styled by Storms

$83 at Wayfair
Joss & Main Sadie 4-Light Dimmable Empire Chandelier
$451$226

“Who doesn't love a sweet girl's room? These lights made this pink Hamptons bedroom feel grand and beachy. They’re an absolute steal at this price point for the look.” —Designer Lauren Wills Grover of Wills Design Associates

$226 at Wayfair
Red Barrel Studio Brixon Sheer Curtain Panel (56" x 96")
$41

“My biggest estate sale score is often the curtains. They can get so expensive and generic when buying retail, but when you upcycle, thrift, or find them used, after a good clean (or even sometimes a tea dye!), they take on the most romantic life in any room. Can’t hit an estate sale in your area? Then find a great estate sale dupe like this set. Buying extra — since the price is right — means you can use them to create a dramatic gather that emulates a romantic hotel or iconic film moment. The biggest mistake is buying only two panels for a window. Go wild! Add a lot. Live the fantasy. —Designer Amy Mazius, co-founder of metahaiku, a creative studio

StyleCraft Home Dann Foley Iron Tabletop Pillar
$180$96

“These sophisticated candle holders are a great addition to your home decor, as you can have them out year-round. The brass immediately elevates your space, while the varying heights create visual interest. Not to mention, they are easy to style. Whether you are setting the table this season or looking for new items for the mantel, these pieces will surely get the attention of your guests. —Designer Danielle Davis, founder and principal designer of 56th Street Design Studio

$96 at Wayfair
Wade Logan Ashfan Faux Leather Task Chair
$248$190

“Wayfair can be a great place for a starter office space. The Ashfan Faux Leather Task Chair, for me, combines comfort and aesthetic. [When shopping] make sure you always check the ‘contract grade’ option on the left so that you get more durable products, and check the reviews — always!” —Designer Kyi Gyaw of Kyi Gyaw Interiors

$190 at Wayfair
Langley Street Amadi Floral Swivel Armchair
$435$380

“The print on this swivel chair is so graphic and vibrant. I’ve been waiting for a room to use them in. You could design a whole room around them. It’s hard to find printed swivels that are chic at this price. And swivels paired with a sofa are almost always a superior option to a sectional for facing a TV.” —Adnan Anwar

$380 at Wayfair
Orren Ellis Clear Maryln Side Chair (Set of 2)
$623$234

“I am pretty obsessed with these chairs. I have them in my dining room with a burl Parsons table, and they look incredible. They look cool without being overly modern, and they are comfortable. The bonus is I can easily wipe them up after a messy meal with my kids.” —Sarah Storms

$234 at Wayfair
Langley Street Bergmann Hand-Tufted Area Rug (5' x 7'6")
$540$108

“Don't forget a nice area rug to ground your furniture and also for sound absorption. In order for a desk chair to wheel easily, you want a flat-weave or thin rug, like this guy — the Bergmann Oriental Hand-Tufted Wool Rug. I love wool because it's long-lasting, and it's a natural fiber.” —Kyi Gaw

$108 at Wayfair
Jaxx Ponce Outdoor Medium Bean Bag Chair & Lounger
$240$184

“I love these for a tree house! They are so fun and durable!” —Sarah Storms

$184 at Wayfair
Latitude Run Black Giann Pedestal 40" Coffee Table
$493$278

“Something like the Giann Pedestal Table in black is a great option in a room that already has wood finishes. You don't want the woods to clash so choose a stone, metal, or painted wood.” —Kyi Gaw

$278 at Wayfair
