Is your home’s aesthetic getting bogged down by cords and outlet extenders? Rather than tucking these eyesores behind furniture in hard-to-reach places, you might consider disguising them instead. Tina Le Mac, a DIYer and content creator, stumbled upon an ingenious Amazon find that literally hides your cord clutter in plain sight so you can keep your nightstand, side table, or kitchen counter looking its best — cords included.

What Is the TastePick Book-Shaped Cable Management Box?

The decorative cable management box from TastePick on Amazon is designed to look like two coffee table books stacked on top of one another. The box comes in two sizes and magnetically shuts, and it keeps your cords safe and tucked away. You can add “gap books” to expand the box if you need to fit larger outlet extenders or more cables, and the box is water-resistant to add even further protection.

“Why did I not use one of these sooner?!” Le Mac wrote in a recent Instagram caption. “These are sooo genius and now my nightstand looks so much more put together!”

Why I Love It

You can pick the TastePick book box up in several different designs. Le Mac opted for the William Morris set, but there’s also a Matisse set, a Van Gogh and Monet set, and even a set that includes a faux book called “Peace, Love, and Pasta,” which would be adorable for the kitchen. Shoppers appreciated the book stacks, too.

“The perfect setup for hiding all those cords, which simply ruin any aesthetic of calm organization you’re trying to achieve in your living space,” one Amazon shopper wrote in their review. “The faux books are easy to install and they really do look like coffee table books.”

And someone else wrote, “Love this as a stylish alternative to the cord concealers I have on the floor. It was pretty easy to set up too. I like that you can lay flat or stand up.”

If the book look isn’t necessarily your aesthetic, consider these cord management woven boxes from Amazon. Simply place your chargers or outlet extenders inside, then feed the cords through the side slots to keep everything contained and out of view. Or if you want to pair them with the books, you have yourself a super aesthetically pleasing disguise!

Keep cables from cramping your style and tuck them away in one of these decorative boxes. It turns out that cord clutter doesn’t have to be ugly!
