Working from home is still firmly in place for many of us, completing our nine to fives from makeshift office spaces since the beginning of 2020. People have had to get creative with their new work areas, especially those who live in small spaces, and if a full home office area isn’t possible, there’s nothing wrong with grabbing a teeny tiny desk and working from your bed à la Mindy Kaling. But, have you ever thought about what some of the most iconic fictional characters’ work from home space might look like?

Avansas.com, an office supplies company, has imagined what five television show characters’ home working setup may consist of in 2022, from Chandler Bing to Carrie Bradshaw. Below, the eye-catching home offices that I, for one, wouldn’t mind working from. Which one is your favorite?

Bart Simpson, “The Simpsons”

If Springfield Elementary School were to teach its students remotely, Avansas predicts that 10-year-old Bart Simpson would complete his schoolwork from a desk at the bottom of his bed. Whether much work would actually get done is another question, but the clutter-free work space is certainly an inspiring setup. There’s a  wireless headset for Zoom lessons with Ms. Krabappel, a gaming chair to help with his posture, and a Rubix cube to stimulate the brain during breaks.

Carrie Bradshaw, “Sex and the City”

Carrie Bradshaw’s work from home space is stylish and minimalistic, full of neutral colors and luxe materials that add a touch of comfort to the working day. There’s a calendar on the wall for her to schedule in all of those glamorous high-flying events and a magazine rack to display all of her previous issues of Vogue.

Chandler Bing, “Friends”

Chandler Bing’s work from home space would be a pretty simple setup, with a tall desk and chair. There’s a notebook for jotting down all of his witty comments and questionable jokes throughout the day, and a whiteboard so he can leave messages for Joey remaining him to go to his acting auctions.

Jess Day, “New Girl”

Jess from “New Girl” is a bubbly, creative character, so it’s only right that her home office matches her personality. The large desk and organizational accessories are ideal for her job as a teacher, where she would be teaching Zoom lessons to her students, while an easel and crafting equipment are on hand if she wants to get artsy during her lunch hour.

Will Smith, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”

Will Smith’s “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” work from home space is as lavish as you can imagine, with three monitors sitting on top of a contemporary white desk one for work, one for watching basketball, and one for watching “MTV”. Gold hues complete the space, with a comfy chair and a tray for snacks.
