Mindy Kaling Revealed Her Work-From-Bed Setup, and It’s a Dream Come True
Mindy Kaling is known for her bedside photoshoots (she has released several pajama-clad pictures throughout the pandemic), but she’s upping her game with a new work-from-bed setup.
The co-creator of “The Sex Lives of College Girls” posted her remote “writers room” to Instagram on Wednesday. “This is what our writers room for season 2 of @thesexlivesofcollegegirls looks like,” Kaling wrote. “Friggin’ Omicron got us on Zoom again…but only for now!”
In the photos she shared, Kaling can be seen working on her laptop in bed. Her Mac is propped up with a large wooden lap desk, which appears to be Amazon’s Large Size Laptop Tray Desk. The large surface area allowed Kaling to also keep her phone on the desk. Unfortunately, it’s unavailable to buy right now, but a good alternative is a popular, slightly cheaper alternative comes from Sofia + Sam, also found on Amazon.
In addition to the desk, Kaling has a clamp lamp over her shoulder, a handy tool for late night reading and better illumination for longtime laptop work. IKEA offers several affordable clamp light options, including the RANARP lamp, which offers a spotlight effect for a little over $20.
While it’s not quite on par with the official Kaling International offices that the actress-writer-producer offered a glimpse of last year, the work-from-bed setup is one of the more attainable elements of Kaling’s work life.
