You Can Bring Frank Lloyd Wright Design Into Your Home with the “Usonia” Furniture Line

Whether it’s for-sale listings or virtual tours, I’m thrilled whenever I get to peek into homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. And today, fans can bring a little Wright into their own homes with furniture that embody his distinguishable style. 

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation teamed up with direct to consumer furniture brand Inside Weather to create the USONIA collection, a term that Wright used often to describe his landscape vision for the United States. The line currently has three select items available for pre-order: Hanna Side Table, Edgar Lounge Chair, and West Ottoman, all paying tribute to Wright’s iconic style. 

“Wright had long believed that the furnishing of a house should be integral with its architectural concept,” a press release said. “With the Usonian vision, he carried this even further into simplicity and affordability. The design simplicity of the pieces achieves one of Wright’s major goals: beautiful furniture of moderate cost.”

First up is West, a sleek ottoman with an open design with no storage component. However, this might be paying tribute to Wright’s Prairie style that uses openness to connect with the surrounding environment. Made entirely with Baltic Birch wood, each ottoman is customizable with over 400 printed designs to choose from. The West comes in either latte or espresso wood finish.

Next is the Edgar Lounge Chair, also made with 100% Baltic Birch wood and available in the two different wood finishes. The wooden legs slightly cross over one another, curving with the shape of the back and bottom of the chair to create an overarching flow. You can choose from over 400 designs for the upholstery.

Last but not least is Hanna, a side table with a hexagonal shape that is made up of two wooden shelves. Once again, this fully birch item comes in two shades of wood and over 300 upholstery designs.
