Cancel Hulu: It’s Now Free With Your Spotify Subscription
If you’re like me, you subscribe to a bunch of streaming services. While they’re not particularly expensive, those monthly fees can add up. But there’s some good news for the multi-streamers among us: Spotify Premium members can get Hulu for free. Yep, totally free.
If you’re already paying the $9.99 to listen to Spotify ad-free, there’s a new perk. The Verge reports that you can bundle the basic Hulu plan into your account for no extra monthly charge.
I just signed up and it was super easy: Spotify Premium members can log into their Spotify accounts and activate the Hulu deal by either logging in to an existing Hulu account when prompted, or signing up with a new profile. If you’re new to Spotify or have a free plan, you can upgrade to Premium to add free Hulu.
The Hulu promo is available through June 10, and is only for the basic plan with ads. It also restricts adding premium channels like HBO or Showtime, so you’ll have to watch “Game of Thrones” elsewhere come April 14. But, you’ll get access to all of Hulu’s library, including current season TV and originals like “Shrill” (premiering March 15) and “The Handmaid’s Tale” (season 3 is back June 5).
While Netflix has been raising prices to offset the costs of its original content, Hulu recently announced that its basic plan was getting a price cut from $7.99 to $5.99.
