This Easy Hack Solves One of the Most Annoying Problems with Liquid Laundry Detergent

Picture this: You’ve just gotten to the end of your liquid laundry detergent, but as you go to throw it out, you notice that there’s a small amount left that could potentially be enough for another load of laundry. But, as you go to pour it out, it’s nearly impossible to get anything out.

It’s a frustrating situation — but you don’t have to let this detergent dilemma boggle your mind anymore. TikToker @charmiexoxo shared a hack to solve this very annoying problem, helping you get every last drop of detergent from the bottle. 

In her video, she first shows how much detergent is left in the bottle before tipping it over, revealing that only a little bit can come out, despite the amount just seen. So, she goes to her husband’s toolbox to grab pliers to get the plastic spout out. “I want to get my money’s worth out of this bottle,” she says in the video. She wiggles it out and it barely takes her any effort to do so.

Once the plastic spout gone, she’s able to pour out the rest of the detergent into the cap — enough for one to two more loads! The hack is so simple and the problem, oh so relatable: “Omg that’s my biggest pet peeve,” reads one comment. 

The video has garnered 1.9 million views and 265 thousand likes. One commenter tried this hack and shared their stamp of approval: “I got a whole extra cup from doing this trick … it really is crazy how much is trapped inside.”

The next time you’re about to throw out your detergent, it might be worthwhile to try this trick first. In fact, you could be missing out on an extra load or two per bottle.
