You Can Get Paid $1,000 To Watch a Single Season of “Downton Abbey”
It’s been over a decade since “Downton Abbey” first spilled onto the period drama scene with six beloved seasons and a 2019 film following in the pilot’s footsteps. And a new era of “Downton Abbey” — literally — is finally upon us, and to celebrate Choice Mutual wants to pay a “Downton” fan $1,000 to binge the final season and film before “Downton Abbey: A New Era” premieres on May 20.
The brand new film brings the “Downton” cast back together as the Abbey becomes the backdrop of a motion picture and a secret from Lady Grantham’s past is revealed with a visit to a French villa. And Choice Mutual wants to reward “Downton” superfans for their patience.
“We’re looking for a ‘Downton Abbey’ superfan,” the Choice Mutual application reads. “This candidate knows every character and plot line and was already planning to celebrate the upcoming ‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ release in their own way.”
If you’re hired for the job, you’ll have 24 hours to watch the sixth and final season of “Downton Abbey” and well as the 2019 “Downton Abbey” film and document your experience on social media as you watch.
Once the 24 hours is up, you’ll receive $1,000 and compensation to purchase both the final season and the film.
From now until April 12 at 5 p.m. PDT, you can prove your superfan status to Choice Mutual by filling out the prompts over on the application page. You’ll be notified if you’ve won within 14 days of the closing date. Casual “Downton” fans need not apply. This task is only for those who live and breathe for the Crawley family, their faithful staff, and the historic house they call home.
