Live Like The Gilmore Girls With the Return of the Stars Hollow Studio Tour
Although it rarely snows in Burbank, California, it’s still going to be magical this winter as Warner Bros. brings Stars Hollow to life with the return of their “Gilmore Girls” studio tour.
According to a press release, the company will be bringing back their Holidays Made Here program after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. Starting December 22, visitors will be able to tour the sets of “Friends,” “Elf,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and of course, “Gilmore Girls.”
The Midwest Street Backlot — where the show was filmed for seven seasons—will feature a fully-decorated holiday-themed Stars Hollow, complete with props and costumes used during filming. Guests can explore the fictional town and go to locations like Luke’s Diner, Lorelai’s house, Mrs. Kim’s Antiques, Doose’s Market, and even the gazebo where Luke and Lorelai swapped vows.
Obviously, lots of small details for fans to see, such as an “I Smell Snow” sign and the snowman that Lorelai and Rory built. And while you’re there, you can also buy cookies, hot cocoa or coffee in a Luke’s Diner cup, and Pop-Tarts!
“After two years of missing out on celebrating the holidays with our Warner Bros. fans, we are thrilled to have guests back on the lot for Holidays Made Here,” said Danny Kahn, vice president and general manager of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. “This event will be a must-see for fans, and we can’t wait to share the magic of exploring Stars Hollow with everyone during the holiday season.”
The tours will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from December 22 to January 1, except on Christmas Day. You can buy your tickets here.
