Half-Painted Walls That Are All-the-Way Gorgeous
It’s a wall painting trend that comes and goes: The half-painted wall. (Or, like the famous “Is the glass half full or half empty?” question, you could also consider these half unpainted walls). Whichever way you look at it, only painting half of a wall isn’t putting in half the design effort; it’s creating bold style with well-placed color. These rooms showcase just how beautiful and sophisticated this painting idea can be.

Though I can’t say for sure this was the reason for only putting paint on the bottom half of the wall, I know that for particularly high ceilings or peculiar architecture, painting only half the wall can make color planning simpler.
Emily’s stunning Houston home proves that when considering the half-painted wall, you don’t have to stick to just the top or bottom half—a diagonal line across a wall can be gorgeous, too.
