Fans of Harry Styles might never get the chance to meet the pop star in person, but they’ve figured out a genius way to infuse his signature scent into their homes. Some truly devoted fans of the former One Directioner discovered that a $7 candle from Target smells exactly like the pricey cologne that Styles has been known to wear, and all the social media buzz has caused it to sell out online.

Back in 2017, Vogue UK discovered that Styles’ hair and makeup guru, Lou Teasdale, shared a since-deleted Instagram photo of his go-to beauty products, and Styles himself shared a backstage shot spritzing himself in 2018 with a super luxe scent: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum, which retails for $150 per 1 oz bottle. Since that’s hardly a budget-friendly way to enjoy the scent of Styles, fans somehow found a seriously affordable dupe: Target’s Threshold Cashmere Vanilla candle, whose tin version sold for a cool $6.99 in stores and online, with the glass jar candle at $9.99, and an oil diffuser in the same scent for $9.99.

It apparently contains a similar warm, fresh scent to the Tom Ford fragrance (which also comes in candle form for $98), driving fans to flock to Target stores everywhere in order to cop one for themselves. In fact, the candle has become so popular, TMZ reports that Threshold is working hard to stock shelves with more—but there’s no expected time frame for the candle to return.

Fans have been sharing their thoughts with videos on TikTok and on Twitter; Apartment Therapy’s Lifestyle Director and self-proclaimed boy band historian Taryn Williford happens to think this 837 North candle ($18) is closer to the fragrance, according to an April 22 tweet.

Target’s customer service even referred to it as the “Harry Styles candle,” so it’s definitely catching on. If you absolutely must have a little bit of Styles in your space, keep checking Target’s website for a restock. In the meantime, Vogue UK notes that Styles also takes Diptyque candles with him on tour, although the cult-favorite brand’s candles start at $68, making them a definite splurge as well.
