Calling all cinephiles: A company has created cinematic renderings of home offices inspired by iconic directors. It’s indisputable that 2020 has been the year of working from home, streaming TV shows and films, and redecorating in quarantine. Budget Direct, an Australian insurance company, has managed to infuse all of these elements into a new project. The company created digital renderings of home offices inspired by Sofia Coppola, Wes Anderson, David Lynch, and more directors—and the designs are Oscar worthy.

Budget Direct enlisted the help of NeoMam Studios, a creative studio based in the United Kingdom, to cross examine the respective directors’ filmography and some of more prevalent style themes. “Marie Antoinette” and “The Beguiled,” for example, are prevalent in the pastel walls of the office inspired by Coppola, while “Parasite” and “Snowpiercer” are perceptible in the modern office inspired by Joon-ho. Grab some popcorn and browse the rest of the home offices below.

Sofia Coppola

Muted and pastel colors, natural light, and low contrast make up this home office that took design cues from “The Beguiled, “The Bling Ring,” “Somewhere, “Marie Antoinette, “Lost in Translation,” and “The Virgin Suicides.”

Wes Anderson

Flat compositions, fine lines, and vibrant hues of yellow, orange, purple, and baby blue make up this home office that took design cues from “The Royal Tenenbaums,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Moonrise Kingdom,” “The French Dispatch,” and more.

Lana and Lilly Wachowski

Post-industrial fixtures and fittings, cyberpunk aesthetics, and special effects make up this home office that took design cues from “The Matrix” franchise, “Jupiter Ascending,” “Cloud Atlas,” and “Speed Racer.”

Bong Joon-ho

Modern and minimalist interior, large windows to allot lots of natural light, and geometric and textured surfaces make up this home office that took design cues from “Parasite,” “Barking Dogs Never Bite,” “Memories of Murder, “The Host, “Mother,” “Snowpiercer,” and “Okja.”

David Lynch

Deep reds and burgundy, black and white flooring, and lots of surrealism make up this home office that took design cues from “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me,” “Blue Velvet, “Mulholland Drive,” “Eraserhead, “The Elephant Man,” “Dune,” and more.
