Regardless of whether or not you’ve ever shopped there, it’s hard to deny that the Walmart offers some great deals that are perfect for anyone working with a budget or loves a deal (so… everyone).

Even professional home stagers, who have scads of high-end stores and industry resources at their fingertips, turn to Walmart for essential accents to spruce up a space. After all, these basics are just that—basic—and shouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg.

You’re guaranteed a good deal at Walmart, agrees professional home stager Jennifer Fowler of New Orleans Luxury Staging. To prove it, Fowler—a real estate agent who works alongside her husband, George, to stage, sell, buy, and rent homes in the Big Easy—went shopping for home staging products at Walmart with $100 in hand.

She passed with flying colors—and with $6 to spare. Here are her picks.

Ceramic diffuser

“It is extremely important for a house to be free of any harsh odors when listing it for sale. That’s why I love using diffusers. You can add fresh citrus oils to a diffuser that will provide a clean, fresh scent to any space without the worry of lighting a candle. I also love that this diffuser can be used as an accent piece on your coffee table or side table.”

Throw blanket

“Throw blankets can provide that special finishing touch to any living space. I love folding one over the arm of a sofa or adding it to a basket in the room as an accent piece. It also can come in handy to help cover any imperfections on furniture.”

Bedding set

“The bedroom is one of the most important rooms that buyers consider when purchasing a home. The linens should be neutral to appeal to all buyers. It is a great idea to invest in a new duvet in a clean, neutral palette.”

Decorative glass bowl

“A beautiful glass bowl can serve multiple purposes in a home. I love placing a large bowl filled with green apples or lemons on a kitchen island. This gives a pop of color to the space while providing a clean, lived-in look. You can also use this bowl as a centerpiece on a table filled with flowers.”

Planter with stand

“I love the use of plants and fresh flowers in a home. This planter can be used inside to bring freshness into a space or outside near the front door to provide a nice welcoming feature as buyers enter the home.”
