Eryn Erickson of lifestyle brand, So Worth Loving, and Jared Erickson of the beloved Atlanta motorcycle co-op space, Brother Moto, combine their individual aesthetics and open their doors to give us a glimpse at where the magic happens in this beautiful and eclectic East Atlanta home.

With echoes of Laurel Canyon and a crisp blend of mid-century modern, the Erickson home has an open and warm sense of togetherness. And, what could one expect with two creative powerhouses under one roof? The home pays tribute to their Southern roots with traditional pieces while remaining playful and vibrant by adding in rich textures and patterns which reflects well with the couple’s personalities. Even Eryn’s motorcycle seems to play an accent role in the foyer.

The layering of found and treasured items within the rich bones of an older bungalow offer an altogether feeling of home and familiarity. The home also gets amazing natural light throughout the day. And as the light changed through the home, each piece seemed to take on a new life. This to me is what home dreams are made of. But, who needs natural light when you have a smile like Sprocket’s to light up the room!

Even though the couple has moved quite a bit in their years together, it’s the appreciation for classically timeless pieces that give this home a solid foundation. Tie that in with their knack for color and texture, and you have the ingredients for a beautiful home, no matter the frame.

Our Style: I grew up with French primitive pieces where we also pulled inspiration from brands like Ralph Lauren. As I’ve grown into my own style, I like to combine the pieces I grew to love with contemporary pieces to make it feel like home.

Inspiration: Vintage stores and flea market finds! I’m really inspired by the piece itself, rather than the overall look. I take my inspiration from what I see and expand on it. That’s why I love dusting off what was once neglected and giving it a new purpose.

Favorite Element: I really love all of the natural light from our den and living room windows. It’s beautiful to wake up to and feel the outdoor elements within our home.

Biggest Challenge: I would say the act of leasing homes 6 times in the 8 years that we’ve been married has presented a challenge but we always rise to it –whether we’re in a loft in midtown, town home, to now bungalow, so the transitioning and adapting would be the greatest challenge while also being resourceful.

What Friends Say: Our friends would probably describe our home as not too minimal while keeping our personal style. It’s a mix between inspired by your surroundings; basically our home is a portrait of who we are and we want everyone to feel welcome.

Biggest Embarrassment: My laundry room.

Proudest DIY: Being able to create an environment where Jared and I can disconnect from work. That would be our proudest DIY is making our home where we always want to be there.

Biggest Indulgence: If we’re talking about furniture, our Restoration Hardware Couch. If were talking about food, brownies.

Best Advice: Pay more attention to what you like and not too much on what’s trendy at that time.

Dream Sources: I would go back to my inspiration answer; I love to find pieces that were thrown out or neglected and giving them new purpose just as they are.
