Matt and Laleh’s home is full of collected items, inspiration from nature, and positive mantras to remember daily. With backgrounds in early childhood education and environmental science, the two are active members in their community. Spending her weekdays teaching young children, it’s no wonder Laleh’s source of inspiration are “feelings of comfort, positivity, and wonder”. It’s easy to see how their love of travel and the outdoors has influenced their home space, as well.

Their mantra of “Less is More” guides them to stay away from overwhelming their apartment with too many material possessions, and lets them focus on surrounding themselves with pieces that truly make them feel comfortable and at home. Powerful positive words and art live throughout the apartment. Ample greenery, herbs, shells, and other elements of nature provide simple decorations and bring nature inside to this environmentally conscious New England couple.

All of our living room items are hand-me-downs. The coffee table was found at a thrift store, the chairs and armoire were inherited (Danish made).
