Adela is an interior designer and the owner of a beautiful furniture store named Vilmupa in Valencia. You can choose your own fabulous furnishings or let her advise you how to design and decorate your own home. And seeing how beautifully she’s created her own home, it’s clear she’d give great advice.

She creates beautiful spaces that are always furnished with objects full of history and story. That’s how we can define her home: A beautiful place full of vintage objects that she’s carefully picked one by one over the years to create the perfect atmosphere.

This house changes every once in a while because she believe design is bound to your personality and your state of mind. That’s why you would never look at the same house twice. Her home transforms with her and her family over the years.

Apartment Therapy Survey:

Our Style: Eclectic, industrial, cozy and with a decadent touch. We love to fill the house with objects full of stories, memories, feelings.

Inspiration: Everything around us. The travels we’ve made. The places we’ve been.

Favorite Element: The kitchen. We respected the old structure and elements, giving them a new life and I have to say it’s definitely my favorite element of the house.

Biggest Challenge: Making every room cozy and like you want to stay there for a while.

What Friends Say: They all want me to decorate their homes. And everyone loves the kitchen.

Biggest Embarrassment: When we painted the house on the outside the painter said they knew how to do it with some pigments. So we trusted him. But when it started raining the house started fading. The pool, the garden and the dogs were red…

Proudest DIY: Some kitchen elements, tables and furniture in the house are made by me with reused materials.

Biggest Indulgence: The super big sofa in the living room. We love to lay there seeing movies. It’s like being in a bed. Super comfortable.

Best Advice: Don’t hurry to decorate your place. Take it easy, fill it with personal things, full of life and experiences. Live your home not following any trends.

Dream Sources: Flamant, Blanc D’ivore, Ecole, Vilmupa…
